BBL is a plastic surgery procedure performed under general anesthesia and lasts about 2 to 3 hours. It consists of fat removal from the donor areas (abdomen, thighs, back, arms...).
It is neither more nor less than a liposuction. It is performed with a very fine cannula and, depending on the quantity of fat to be removed, one or more micro incisions are necessary, leaving invisible scars. Then, the quantity of fat will be purified by centrifugation, decantation or simple washing. The purpose of these maneuvers is to separate the good quality fat cells from the impurities. Then the purified fat will be injected into the buttocks, more precisely in the gluteus maximus muscle, which has many blood vessels that promote maximum graft take. To do this, the surgeon will make very small incisions into which fine cannulas will be inserted to reinject the fat into the desired areas. This procedure is performed gently, with a quantity of fat adapted to each case, in the appropriate areas to give the best possible buttock morphology, both in terms of volume and contour.
The goal of buttock surgery is to rebalance volumes, reshape the area and lift it so that it fits perfectly with the patient's figure and personality. A natural method that does not require the addition of prostheses, lipofilling or lipomodelling of the buttocks (also known as Brazilian lifting) is an avantgarde technique that is attracting more and more women who want to restore volume to their buttocks. This method, which leaves no scars, is 100% biocompatible, since it requires only the patient's own fat. Also performed on the face and other parts of the body, lipofilling consists of transferring fat cells from one area to another. In the case of a buttock lipomodelling, the surgeon will take fat cells from one or more areas where they are in excess, typically the stomach, the knees or the thighs, to reinject them into the buttocks. In this way, lipofilling of the buttocks allows at the same time to perform a liposuction (or lipoaspiration).
